Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions

The agreement between you and the store when you buy from it. Plain, and short enough to read before you pay.

Who you are buying from

The Yagyanam Store is run by Yagyanam, a GST-registered sole proprietorship concern, GSTIN 06BYZPJ9731R1Z4. We are reached at store@yagyanam.com or +91 88006 04588 (10 am to 6 pm IST, every day). These terms apply to every order placed on store.yagyanam.com. The web app's own terms cover consultations and rituals booked there; where the two overlap, these govern what you buy from the store.

Placing an order

  1. You place an order by paying online or, where the checkout offers them, by choosing cash on delivery or paying a share online with the rest due at the door. An order is confirmed the moment the shelf has the stock for it; you see the confirmation on the Orders page, by email, and by SMS where offered.
  2. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST. The price you see when you pay is the price you pay; a price that has changed since you added an item is shown again at the checkout before you confirm.
  3. A coupon applies to the items it names, once per order, and is shown as a discount line before you pay.
  4. We may decline or cancel an order that we cannot fulfil, that a payment provider flags, or that appears to be a resale purchase. Anything paid on a cancelled order is returned in full.

Paying

  • Online: cards, UPI, net banking and wallets through Razorpay. A payment that fails leaves the order waiting on the Orders page, where you can pay again or let it lapse.
  • Cash on delivery, where the checkout offers it: the whole amount is collected at your door, and a fee is added to the order, shown before you confirm.
  • Part payment, where the checkout offers it: a share is paid online and the rest at the door, with no cash fee.
  • The checkout shows the ways open at the time of your order.
  • A tax invoice is issued for every paid order and can be downloaded from the Orders page.

The energising

Every item that asks for it is energised by our acharyas after your order is confirmed and before it is packed, with the rite that item asks for. Where a photograph or a short film is taken, it is kept with your order for you to see. The energising is a rite performed in good faith; it is not a promise of any particular outcome, and it is not medical, legal or financial advice.

An item energised for you is registered to you. The rite cannot be said over it again for someone else, so it cannot pass to another person, be resold, or come back to the store for a change of mind. If it arrives damaged, different or wrong, it is replaced, or refunded if you prefer: a new one is energised for you and sent, and a damaged one is not collected. If it cannot be replaced, it is refunded. The Refund policy says how.

Delivery

  • We ship across India. Delivery usually takes three to seven days from dispatch; remote pincodes can take longer.
  • Delivery is free on orders above ₹999; a flat ₹79 applies below that, shown before you pay.
  • You receive a tracking id when the parcel leaves us; the Orders page follows it.
  • The risk in the goods passes to you when the parcel is handed over at the address you gave. Please check the parcel on arrival and tell us within seven days if it arrived damaged.

Cancellations, returns and replacements

You may cancel an order until it is dispatched by telling us, with the order number, and anything paid comes back in full. After delivery you have seven days to ask for a return or a replacement, and three more days in which a replacement alone can still be asked for, as the Refund policy sets out.

  • An item comes back when something is wrong with what arrived: it was broken or damaged in dispatch or delivery, it is not as described, it is faulty, something is missing, a different item came, or it is a different colour, model or size from your order. A replacement may be offered; in some cases we can only refund.
  • An item that arrived after the date we promised can come back for a refund, unused and in its packing.
  • Nothing comes back for a change of mind.
  • An item energised for you comes back only if it arrived damaged, different or wrong, and then it is replaced, or refunded if you prefer.
  • A parcel refused at the door, or one that could not be delivered because the address or phone did not work, is refunded when it is back with us, less the delivery charge, as the Refund policy sets out; an item energised for your order is not refunded then. We may stop offering cash on delivery to a number whose parcels are refused.
  • Every request needs the order as proof of purchase: the order on the Orders page, or its invoice.
  • Anything refunded comes back the way you paid, or to a UPI id or bank account you name for a cash order.

About the items

  • Rudraksha, gemstones, brass, copper, clay and hand-woven cloth are natural and handmade. Small variations in size, shade, grain and finish are the nature of the thing, not a defect.
  • Gemstones are supplied with their certificate where the page says so. Shambhavi, the store's assistant, can read your birth chart to suggest a stone or a practice, as the tradition reads it: a suggestion, never a prediction or a promise, and what you wear is yours to choose.
  • Sizes for clothing follow the size guide on the product page. Measure before you choose: a size that does not fit is not a reason to return an item, though a size different from the one you ordered is.
  • Photographs are of the actual items or of the same batch; a screen renders colour its own way.

Reviews

Only someone who bought an item can review it, and the review must be theirs. We remove reviews that are abusive, that advertise, or that were not written by a buyer, and we never pay for one.

Counting visits

The store counts visits to its pages to improve itself, with a cookie of its own that holds a random number and nothing that names you, and no third-party tracker. The Privacy policy says what is counted and how long it is kept.

Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code, nothing else. Keep the code to yourself: an order placed from your signed-in session is yours. Tell us at once if you believe your number is being used by someone else.

Conversations with Shambhavi are kept and may be read by the store's team to help with your order.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for delivering what you ordered, as described, and for putting it right when we do not. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the rules made under it.

Disputes

Write to us first at store@yagyanam.com or +91 88006 04588 (10 am to 6 pm IST, every day); most things are settled in a day. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Haryana have jurisdiction, subject to your rights under consumer law to approach the forum nearest you.
